Teachers, Youth Leaders and Personal Advisors

“Connexions Advisers visited the TreeJumpers Academy e2e programme on 9 April 2010 at The Hop Farm, Paddock Wood.

We were met at the entrance gate by two learners who were evidently proud to be on the course and who showed us around throughout, explaining the different activities that they were learning to act as instructors on.

They answered questions about the course in a very comprehensive fashion, showed keenness to explain about what they were learning, and displayed a very positive working relationship with other learners and TreeJumpers’ staff.

The other learners, who were not involved in showing us around, were very fully engaged in their learning and were supportive of other members of their team who were engaged in their activities.

The TreeJumpers’ instructors were highly professional, setting clear ground rules with the young people and interacting with them in a young person-friendly fashion. They were evidently keen to foster excellent working relationships with Connexions on an ongoing basis in the future.

“Dear Garon,
Just thought I would give you some feedback from the E2E reviews Jeanette and I held last Friday 19th March. The young people on the course were very complimentary about the way the course was being run and the staff teaching them. They are engaged in the activities and feel like they are progressing well and looking forward to the Belay Friday 26th March. It was very nice to see the young people we have been working with so enthusiastic about what they are doing.

Thank you,
Kind regards,

Learner Reviews and Success Stories

Success Story - Sam
“Before the course I was working at a Supermarket part time but felt that there were no future prospects for my career and I did not have a clear idea of what I wanted to do.
After contacting connexions I joined the E2E course at Treejumpers and found that it improved my understanding of business, customer service expectations  and also gave me some excellent activity leadership skills- I really enjoyed the course because it allowed me to learn outdoors and didn’t involve too much classroom learning .

I completed the course and am now working for Treejumpers on a training contract which I hope will lead to the potential for further development of my skills and gaining National Body Qualifications to lead activities such as Archery, Air Rifles and Quad Biking.

Most of all being on the course and working at Treejumpers has boosted my confidence and given me a clearer idea of the types of job that I enjoy and the skills I need to build my future.”

Employer Review : “Sam’s technical skills were already strong when he joined us from the E2E course. The biggest difference we have seen as his confidence has grown are his customer service skills and professionalism. Sam’s ability to relate well with participants of all ages on the activities and his understanding of the importance of customer care have been a real asset. He is a great ‘face’ for the company”.
